  • To improve teaching/studying conditions

  • To contribute to the alleviation of poverty

  • To provide a healthier working/studying environment; to motivate the teachers, and give the pupils a greater sense of wellbeing

BRIEF PROJECT OUTLINE:

The Public Primary School (EPP) of Amby is opening a new chapter in its history with the inauguration of modern and spacious facilities now made available to the school community. For many years, the teaching conditions at the school had fallen far short of the standards required for quality education. The new school building will now provide a more conducive learning environment, thereby improving the children’s chances of academic success.

Thanks to the generosity of the Adsum Foundation, the school now benefits from a new building comprising three classrooms — one of which is dedicated to preschool education — all fully equipped with school furniture, as well as a teachers’ office. Once again, the Adsum Foundation demonstrates its unwavering commitment to the underprivileged through this new initiative, carried out in partnership with the Madagascar Development Fund (MDF). Together, they have already implemented more than 70 projects, including around fifty in the Itasy region. The total amount of funding allocated for this project stands at 154,772,520 Ariary. With this contribution, a three-compartment latrine block has also been constructed. In addition, educational toys, teaching materials, and school kits valued at 6,956,780 Ariary were distributed to the pupils.

We are confident that these new facilities will strengthen the quality of education provided to the 250 students of EPP Amby — and to many generations to come.
